- Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum addressed an audience of 400 leaders from business and the arts
Jaguar Land Rover was the headline sponsor of the 2014 Arts & Business Awards which took place at the at the BFI Southbank in London last night.
Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum, who is a member of the Arts & Business management group, addressed the audience of 400 leaders from business and the arts before nine awards, designed by the Jaguar design team exclusively for the event were presented to each of the winners.
Jaguar design director, Ian Callum said: "It was a privilege to have designed the awards for this year's ceremony given my personal involvement and enthusiasm for the collaboration of culture and business."
The chosen design for the award trophy created by one of the youngest members of the design team, captures the letters 'A&B', joining them as one sculpture form. The outer surface represents the shining light of art while the inner red represents the formality of business.
Now in its 35th year, the awards celebrate businesses of all sizes across the country that have partnered with a cultural organisation to achieve business objectives such as branding, sponsorship, employee volunteering and corporate responsibility.
A production version of the new Jaguar F‑TYPE R Coupé was displayed at the awards. Winner of 2013 World Car Design of the Year in convertible form, the new Coupé version adds a dramatic roof line inspired by the Jaguar E‑type. The F‑TYPE Coupé is the realisation of a long‑held ambition of Jaguar Director of Design Ian Callum to create a two‑seat Jaguar sports car.
