RUSSELL LESLIE

Russell was appointed Executive Director, Enterprise Quality in February 2025, and is responsible for driving quality improvements across the business. 

With over 30 years’ experience in the automotive industry, Russell’s JLR career started in 2010 on the production lines of Solihull. Since then, he has led teams across the world and is a passionate supporter of JLR’s transformation in Customer Love, working with regions and customers in his roles as Operations Director for Nitra and Solihull respectively.  

Russell has also played a vital role in the company’s People Love transformation in Manufacturing. He has a wide range of industry experience across programme management, launch, production, supply chain and quality, and has launched and operated new factories in China and Slovakia.  

With a commercially focused approach to problem solving and developing business processes, with proven people management and engagement skills, Russell prides himself on his ability to instil vision to achieve company goals and surpass production expectations, whilst maintaining quality, safety, and customer first integrity, through total quality management. 

Russell has a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Management from Coventry University.
