Jaguar E‑Type Chassis No. 24 In 1961, amid all the excitement of the Jaguar E‑type launch, the Daily Mail newspaper ran a competition to win "the most wanted car in the world" and gave readers the opportunity to win one of two examples. Chassis No. 24 was one of those two E‑Types and the winner was Marcus Girvan, a young man from Southport who then sold the car after a year. Currently owned by John Butterworth, the vehicle underwent a full restoration carried out by Classic Motor Cars Limited of Bridgnorth and is now in excellent condition. |
