British driver Jamie Chadwick is not unfamiliar with the all‑electric world, having previously driven for Jaguar in the Marrakesh rookie test in 2020. Over her 14‑year racing career, Chadwick has built up an impressive on‑track record. She made her single seater racing debut in 2017 competing in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship and, in 2019, entered the inaugural season of W Series. She went on to become an undefeated triple W Series champion and finished the 2022 season with a total of 11 victories. In August 2022 Chadwick was announced as a test driver for Andretti Autosport in Indy NXT and was signed as a driver for the 2023 and ‘24 seasons. This year, she became the first woman to win an Indy NXT race in 14 years and finished the season in 7th place.

Jaguar TCS Racing have also confirmed that 26‑year‑old Chadwick will take part in the Formula E rookie test at the 2025 Berlin E‑Prix.

Joining Jamie at Jaguar TCS Racing in Valencia will be Super GT driver Lilou Wadoux, who began her racing career in karting age 14. Wadoux graduated to competitive circuit racing two years later, starting with one‑make saloon car championships. In November 2021 Wadoux entered into endurance racing with the all‑female LMP2 Richard Mille Racing Team and, in 2023, was signed as Ferrari’s first female factory driver. She became the first female winner in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in any class after winning the 2023 6 Hours of Spa‑Francorchamps. In 2024 Wadoux entered the Japanese Super GT series and has raced in the endurance rounds of the IMSA SportsCar Championship.

Chadwick and Wadoux will be joined by many other talented women who will drive the Season 11 GEN3 Evo‑spec Formula E cars for the test on the afternoon of Thursday 7 November, where the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 will run in a celebratory test livery.

I’m very excited to be back working with Jaguar TCS Racing – a team that have seen so much success recently – and to be back in the world of electric racing! Formula E is such an exciting, future‑facing championship and I’m really looking forward to testing out the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7. It will be a great opportunity to grow my relationship with the team, meet many other talented drivers and get to experience the mind‑blowing technology in these cars.

Jamie Chadwick
Racing Driver

This will be my first time in a Formula E car and I can’t wait for the experience. This test is an amazing opportunity for me to get involved in the sport, one that is so well known for inspiring the next generation, and to get women more involved in motorsports. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and look forward to getting behind the wheel of the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7.

Lilou Wadoux
Racing Driver

It’s fantastic to be working with Jamie Chadwick again and to welcome Lilou Wadoux into the team. They’ve both achieved amazing results in their careers to date and myself and the team look forward to what will be a very exciting test for FIA Formula E. I have no doubt that we have two of the best drivers joining us.

“The test provides an important opportunity to showcase this highly talented group of women drivers in the pinnacle of electric racing. We’re looking forward to building on our relationship with Jamie after witnessing her amazing success in W Series and recently in Indy NXT. Lilou has gone from strength‑to‑strength with some impressive results in WEC, IMSA and other series, so I’m really excited to work with her for the first time and see her excel in Formula E with all of us here at Jaguar TCS Racing.”

ABOUT JAGUAR TCS RACING

Jaguar returned to racing in October 2016, becoming the first luxury manufacturer to join the all‑electric ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

In 2024, Jaguar TCS Racing won the ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship, Jaguar’s first World Championship win since 1991. Jaguar also won the newly created Manufacturer’s Trophy with the I‑TYPE 6 – Jaguar’s all‑electric GEN3 Formula E race car.

Jaguar TCS Racing drivers Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy finished second and third respectively in the 2024 Drivers’ World Championship. Both Mitch and Nick will compete again for Jaguar TCS Racing in Season 11, as Formula E moves into the GEN3 Evo era. Spanning Seasons 11 and 12, GEN3 Evo will see further technical advancements to the world’s only net carbon zero all‑electric race cars including new powertrains and the adoption of all‑wheel‑drive in certain phases of qualifying and racing.

Jaguar TCS Racing have also confirmed a long‑term commitment to the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship by signing to participate in the GEN4 era, set to commence in 2026 and running through seasons 13‑16.

Beyond its all‑electric concept, Formula E is unique in the world of motorsport for its choice of venues. The 2024/2025 World Championship will see many events take place on temporary street circuits in the centre of the world’s major cities including, São Paulo, Tokyo and Monaco. Additional new venues include Miami and Jeddah, with the season finale again set to play out across a double‑header race weekend in London.

As an official manufacturer team in Formula E, Jaguar TCS Racing designs its own powertrain, which includes the motor, transmission, inverter, and rear suspension. Jaguar, via its long‑term Formula E technical partner Fortescue WAE, will supply Envision Racing with its powertrain for the GEN3 Evo era.

To control costs, the carbon fibre chassis and battery are common components and the same for all eleven teams. This allows the focus to be on developing efficient and lightweight electric vehicle powertrains which will improve the performance and range of future JLR electric vehicles.

Formula E remains a key priority for JLR and the company’s Reimagine strategy. As the premier all‑electric world championship, Formula E allows the team to test and develop new electric vehicle technologies in a high‑performance environment. It continues to be the test bed for the team’s Race to Innovate mission that will see Race to Road and Road to Race learnings that will help shape the electric future – a future that Jaguar is passionate about, and dedicated to for the benefit of our society, the changing landscape of mobility, sustainability and our clients.

Through our Race to Inspire mission, Jaguar TCS Racing are committed to inspiring the future generation by using the race programme to create a positive impact on our planet and the communities in which we race. From competing in the world’s first net carbon race car to supporting and training the next generation of engineers and motorsport professionals.
