JAGUAR STANDS OUT AT NEW YORK AUTO SHOW
05 April 2010
The Jaguar brand got a lot of attention over the two days of media previews at the New York International Automobile Show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
At the show stand, media and friends of the company were able to see the complete modernized Jaguar lineup, XF, XK, XJ as well as a historical reference to the brand's 75th anniversary with the first Jaguar branded model, a 1935 SS100 3.5 liter. Once the show opened, the crowds swarmed the stand to see the new cars.
On the eve of the first media preview day, Jaguar again drew a crowd, this time with the new XJ on display under the lights at Jay‑Z's 40/40 Club for Automotive Rhythms' Auto Show Party. The event served the purpose of reaching out to younger, urban tastemakers and showcased the brand in a more modern luxury context.
The crowd included a number of media, bloggers, industry folks, athletes and other opinion leaders, as well as city party goers. The new Jaguar line‑up of beautiful fast cars are especially appealing to professionals in the sports, entertainment and fashion arenas.
Jay‑Z's club was the perfect, high‑end fun place to bring the car to the marketplace and there was genuine excitement to have members of the New York Giants Danny Ware and Osi Umenyiora mingling with the crowd. Plus, the guys loved the new Jag.
