SHARON CORRIGAN, JAGUAR NORTH AMERICA'S VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING, AMONG HONORED GUESTS AT AUTOMOTIVE NEWS' 100 LEADING WOMEN IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY SOIREE

24 September 2010

The Automotive News gala reception and awards ceremony that took place at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit, Mich. on Sept. 21, 2010, was a great reminder of the skill, talent and charm to be found in the often unheralded leaders of our automotive industry. The fact that this group of 100 honored leaders all happened to be women, only added to the impact of the message, writes Stuart Schorr, Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs, Jaguar Land Rover North America.

Honored in the sales and marketing category was Jaguar's Sharon Corrigan, who runs Jaguar U.S. Marketing (Communications, CRM, and Product Management). Sharon was selected based on the combination of her experience in the industry at Jaguar and Lincoln‑Mercury, as well as for the ongoing transformation of the Jaguar brand in the U.S.

Highlights of the year for Jaguar marketing include the launch of the all‑new Jaguar XJ, the brands flagship sedan; the City Takeover strategy, which was employed to extend the impact of the launch through extensive broadcast, print, digital and outdoor advertising across the U.S. with a focus on sponsorship and PR initiatives in LA, NY and Southern Fla.; and the introduction into the marketplace of Jaguar Platinum Coverage, offering class‑leading customer care for all Jaguar 2011 MY vehicles.

On behalf of everyone in the Jaguar organization, congratulations to Sharon and the other 99 industry leaders who reflect so well on our business.
