JAGUAR ENTHUSIASTS CLUB OF THE UK CROSS THE ATLANTIC FOR NORTH AMERICAN ROAD TRIP

Eighty five members of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club (UK) embarked on a three week, 2,100 mile journey through Eastern U.S. and CanadaNearly four dozen classic and modern Jaguar cars, ranging from a 1950 Jaguar XK 120 to a 2012 Jaguar XKR‑S, were transported across the Atlantic to embark on this epic journey. 

 

 

 

The group began its North American tour on September 26 in Washington D.C., followed by stops in Staunton, VA and Bedford PA, before entering into Canada. Once over the border, the group visited Niagara on the Lake, ON, Kingston, ON, Ottawa, ON and Montreal, QC, before returning to the Northeastern U.S. via Stowe, VT.  

 

 

The second leg of the tour took the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club through Mount Washington, NH, Chatham, MA, Greenwich, CT and New York City before completing their journey at the Jaguar Land Rover North American Headquarters in Mahwah, NJ on October 16, 2012. 

 

 

During the Clubs visit to JLR Headquarters, members were welcomed by Andy Goss, President, Jaguar Land Rover North America and were given the opportunity to preview the latest Jaguar line‑up, including the all‑new Jaguar F‑TYPE.

 

 

Club members enjoyed lunch with JLR employees, where they shared stories of their three week journey along with personal stories of when and how they fell in love with the Jaguar brand. Jaguar Land Rover employees were treated to a sea of classic and new Jaguar cars displayed on campus. A great and memorable day was shared by all in attendance.

The Bristol based Jaguar Enthusiasts Club was formed in December 1984, by members of several other Jaguar Clubs, specifically for the enthusiast who not only used, but maintained or restored their SS, Jaguar or Daimler. The aim of the Club is to assist Jaguar enthusiasts in the U.K. in keeping their cars on the road with the minimum of cost.
